Trident Facades was appointed by GSS Architecture / GenNorth to investigate and remediate façade fire-stopping and compartmentation defects at Livingstone House, Leeds. The project progressed from intrusive surveys of the external wall construction and internal compartmentation to the removal and replacement of defective fire breaks, with the findings informing the remediation approach and enabling delivery through to completion.
Trident Facades was appointed to investigate significant curtain walling defects at LIV Student Accommodation in Sheffield following multiple glass unit failures. Working alongside WSP and the project team, Trident undertook an intrusive investigation of the west elevation commercial space to identify the causes of failure. Remedial works included the removal of existing glazed units and curtain walling frames, followed by the supply and installation of new frames and glazing units. The project demonstrates Trident Facades’ ability to take a façade issue from intrusive investigation through to completed remediation.
A challenging scheme based on its location, Trident Facades were initially awarded the scaffolding on the 25m residential building but were delighted to pick up the glazing package after the main contractor was let down. Pleased to say the results were stunning.
